Attn: Veterans!!! Contrary to popular belief the Windy City Veterans Assoc will be in the Memorial Day Parade this 2011 year on May 30th. The problem was finding transportation for the older vets who were not ambulatory. Well, the good news is we have found a mode of transportation for them. That's right!!! We're in the parade...

WCVAs presenting a check for $8000.00 to Kathy Z. at Manteno. WCVA had a very successful fundraiser which enabled them for the second year in a row to donate $8000.00 to the disabled veterans. Sadly, this year's bustrip only had a total of 8 veterans go on the bustrip. ALL who went had a great time with beer, sandwiches, pizza and friendship.

VFW 450 Memorial Day Service

Welcome to the VFW Post 450 Memorial Day service. The service included a huge motorcycle escort by various motorcycle clubs, speeches from many important leaders of Veterans issues, Marine Corps League Color Guard, the Emerald Society, 122nd Artillery Division 105mm Howitzer, releasing of doves and a 300ft flyover of a UH Huey "rebuilt" Vietnam helicopter. Thank you all WCVA members who attended. Your support was appreciated. Thank you to all who made the service a memorable experience. Thank you "Rambo" and staff who provided delicious food and drink.
Remember our troops currently serving overseas and above all NEVER FORGET those who did not return.
